The second phone in the ‘Nexus’ line, the Samsung developed Nexus S moves on from its predecessor the Nexus One. It is the flagship phone for the Gingerbread iteration of Android, however an update to the latest version, Ice Cream Sandwich, is available.
It sports a 1GHz CPU, 512MB RAM, a dedicated GPU for gaming and a vibrant Super AMOLED screen. Unfortunately it doesn’t contain a slot for a memory card, but it does come with 16GB of internal storage. It may seem dated compared to the dual-core offerings on the market, but stands up very well compared to the iPhone 4.
Speaking of the iPhone 4, this phone does offer a front facing camera along with a beefy 5MP one the back. There are apps available on the Android market that will give you the ‘Facetime’ experience that iPhone users enjoy and to the front facing camera, you won’t be left behind.
