Near Field Communication (NFC)

Near Field Communication (NFC) is an exciting new technology allowing smartphones and other devices with a NFC chip to communicate. A quick parallel can be made with Bluetooth devices back in the 2000s (the naughtys?) which allowed us to send: pictures, songs and contact details to near-by phones. NFC allows communication when devices touch or are in close proximity and allows data transfer similar to what is enjoyed with Bluetooth.

The HTC 7 Pro features a slide-out keyboard for those who can't quite get used to the general migration towards everything having touch screens. Galaxy Nexus Review

The ‘Nexus’, A series of phones which is supposed to put the absolute best that can be achieved with the Android operating system on a pedestal and show it off to the consumer world. First there was the Nexus One, developed by HTC which was the flagship phone for Android 2.2, next came the Nexus S, developed by Samsung which became the flagship phone for Android 2.3. With a new variant of Android slowly being released, Samsung have given us the Galaxy Nexus which will no doubt be highlighting everything that is great about Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich).
